DevOps Engineer : Cloud Imperium Games

Cloud Imperium is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on our exciting PC space combat sim, Star Citizen! The DevOps Engineer will work in a cooperative, cross-disciplinary team environment to make the deployment and management of Cloud Imperium’s game service efficient and durable. Responsibilities: • Running large scale deployments to public cloud environments• Virtual server maintenance• Performance monitoring• Respond to alerts and notifications providing escalation when necessary• Documenting systems and processes Requirements: • Experience running linux servers in production environments• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go against public vendor APIs• Understanding the basics of database administration and networking• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools• Experience with configuration management tools which can include Chef, Puppet, Salt, and/or Ansible• Experience working in a production environment on cloud providers like Google Compute, Rackspace Cloud, or Amazon AWS Pluses: • Experience in Game Publishing• Understanding of service-oriented architectures, container-based deployment, or microservices concepts• Understanding of NoSQL database concepts• Perforce or other source control systems• Advanced Networking and or security experience• Working with several remote teams and offices located across the world Please send your resume to hr@cloudimperiumgames.com with “DevOps Engineer” in the subject line if you are interested in this position.
